The price listed reflects the “Golden Age Card” discount for COE campgrounds. The campground was very nice and would probably have gotten a higher rating if not for the entry road. The park is about 8 miles from I-40 on a narrow winding 2-lane road. That was not so bad but just after crossing the Center Hill Lake Dam you turn down a VERY steep hill with a right angle turn at the bottom. Be warned you need to be in 1st gear for this hill! The campground is at the foot of the dam and the surrounding cliffs and woods are lovely. Sites 56 & 57 are our favorites.

The nightly cost reflects PA rate. I'm not sure where a prior reviewer stayed because the current owners have been here 19 years and keep the park very neat and clean including the bath house. They remodeled the office, meeting room and laundry area last summer. The sites are mostly level, sand and grass, pull-throughs. This is not a resort or destination park and do not advertise themselves as such but is great for an overnight stay or for a few days while visiting the area. They are very close to I-75 and one exit away from I-10. The owners are very nice and helpful.

Nice quiet park with mostly level sites and some shade available. Most of the 50 amp sites were not in the shade, but campground is in process of adding 50 amps to most of the sites. Location is convenient for visiting Hannibal. Gates are not unlocked until 7am so if you are planning an early start or want to go out for breakfast be sure to make arrangements with the office. We thought the park was a little over priced for the area.

This location is very handy for visiting the Quad City area. Sites are relatively level and mostly shaded. The campground was very quiet at night. Our only complaint was that the WiFi was rather weak and spotty. This is a Passport America park and is a bargain at $10 a night.

The last reviewer is right. This park has no facilities or activities, but if you want a quiet, safe place to stay while sightseeing in Birmingham or want to be near the medical facilities there, this is a good place. There are full hookups with 50 amp service and 8 large, level, concrete pads that are about 20 by 80 feet. (there are additional grass and gravel sites) At $15 per night it is a bargain!

This RV park is located on the grounds of an historic old cavalry fort which is now run by a private homeowner’s association. There are wonderful old stone houses, a museum, spring fed pool, 9-hole golf course, gym, nature trails, a bird sanctuary, etc. The sites are gravel (some grass) and level. This is not a resort type park, but there are lots of activities and the people are extremely nice. There was a park-wide bar-b-que and pot luck while we were there. This is a PA park so the rates are very reasonable. We will camp there again.

This is an urban park that is convenient for seeing the San Diego sites. The campsites are level concrete pads with patio, picnic table and grills on a post. The laundry and bath/shower facilities were modern and very clean. There is an exercise room in the clubhouse as well as an outdoor pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. The CG is tucked in between I-5 and an AMTRAK line. We were here in the fall and slept with the windows closed so the noise did not interfere with sleep but the noise is constant. The WiFi was not available at our site for 3 of the 7 days we were here which is part of the reason for the 7 rating.

This campground has no sewer and no dump station as well as no showers. When asked where the nearest dump site could be found, we were told that they had no idea! The 50 amp service turned out to actually provide about 10 amps. After trying 3 hookups without being able to keep the power on due to the low amps, we did receive a refund. The bathrooms were not clean, there was very little hade and the entire park had a run down feel. The park we saw did not look like the one on there web site. I would definitely not stay here and would not recommend it to others either.

This is a county park with large grassy sites. The park is fenced and gated and feels very secure. Currently 12 of the 54 sites are full hook-ups, but they are expanding to add more. Restrooms are basic but clean and showers are pay. There is a small lake and playground areas for those camping with children. Park hosts and staff are very friendly and helpful. We would stay again.
